General Counsel/Head Legal

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable automobile company in Lagos with expanding operations. 

✅ Provide strategic legal leadership by advising the Board and Executive Management on regulatory exposure, enterprise risk, corporate governance, & business expansion initiatives across all operating units.

✅ Design and implement the company’s legal risk framework, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations, licensing requirements, competition law, consumer protection, data privacy, & sector-specific obligations.

✅ Lead high-value transactions and complex negotiations, including financing arrangements, distributorship, vendor ecosystems, fleet partnerships, cross-border supply arrangements, & major commercial contracts.

✅ Oversee dispute resolution & litigation strategy, managing external counsel, approving legal positions, and protecting the company’s financial & reputational interests.

✅ Establish and supervise legal operations within the legal team.

🔑 This role requires executive maturity, commercial acuity, and strong negotiation depth.
