Thrive LegalSpace Celebrates First Anniversary with Advocacy Competition

Thrive LegalSpace, a Nigerian legal infrastructure platform, is marking one year of operations with the launch of its first advocacy competition for law students.

The platform, which describes itself as Nigeria's legal infrastructure platform, has spent the past year connecting law students, young lawyers and legal professionals with resources and career opportunities across the country.

To mark the milestone, Thrive LegalSpace has partnered with the Law Students Society of Obafemi Awolowo University to co-present the Thrive Advocacy Competition, an oral advocacy contest open to law students nationwide.

The competition

The event will take place on 12 and 20 June 2026, hosted entirely on Google Meet, allowing students from universities across Nigeria to participate without the need to travel.

Competitors will be assessed on their legal reasoning, quality of argument and courtroom presentation across structured advocacy rounds.

A total of 400,000 naira is on offer in prize money. The winner will receive 200,000 naira, the runner-up 150,000 naira, and third place 50,000 naira.
