  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various real estate-related contracts, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, vendor contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and due diligence on property titles, regulatory compliance, and other real estate matters.
  • Provide legal advice and support to internal teams (sales, marketing, operations) on real estate law, property rights, and compliance issues.
  • Ensure all company operations comply with relevant Nigerian laws and regulations, including land laws, corporate governance, and consumer protection.
  • Assist in managing legal documentation and maintaining an organized legal database.
  • Support the resolution of minor legal disputes and liaise with external counsel when necessary.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal legal policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
  • Must have been called to the Nigerian Bar.
  • Ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals seeking to launch their legal career in real estate.
  • Prior internship, NYSC experience in a legal role, or up to 2 years post-call experience in a relevant field is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with legal research tools.
  • Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of the real estate market and an ability to articulate legal concepts in a business context.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
