Pro Bono Partner Programme

On TR Thrive’s Law Gig platform, Pro Bono Partners are verified lawyers who choose to offer free legal services to indigent or vulnerable clients. When you opt in as a Pro Bono Partner, you appear as available for pro bono matters posted on Law Gig. Clients who qualify (e.g. indigents, vulnerable groups) can post their legal need and select that they are seeking pro bono assistance. You can then show interest and, once allocated, complete the matter at no charge—while still gaining recognition and rewards from TR Thrive.

Participation is voluntary. You can turn the option on or off at any time from your profile. Your status as a Pro Bono Partner is shown on your Law Gig profile so that clients and the community can see your commitment to access to justice.

As a Pro Bono Partner you contribute to access to justice while TR Thrive rewards and recognises your contribution in the following ways:

• 50 points per completed pro bono case – For each pro bono matter you complete on Law Gig, we add 50 bonus points to your TR Thrive account. Points can be used within the platform and reflect your engagement and impact.
• Boosted reviews and visibility – Completed pro bono matters can be reviewed by clients. Positive reviews improve your profile and help you stand out to both paying and pro bono clients.
• Pro Bono Badge – Your profile displays a Pro Bono Partner badge. This badge signals to the community that you offer free legal help to those in need and increases trust and respect.
• Ranking and respect in the Thrive community – Pro Bono Partners are given greater weight in ranking and visibility where relevant. The badge and your pro bono history help build your reputation as a lawyer who gives back, which is valued by clients and peers on the platform.

Go to your profile and under the Law Gig – Pro Bono section, turn Yes if you want to be available as a pro bono partner. You will then be able to see and show interest in pro bono matters on the Law Gig platform. When a matter is allocated to you and you complete it, you receive the 50-point bonus, the client can leave a review, and your Pro Bono Partner badge and standing in the community are reinforced.

The Pro Bono Partner option is available to lawyers who use Law Gig. You should be in good standing and able to offer legal services in line with your qualifications. If you are not yet on Law Gig, you can create a gig or explore orders to get started.

As a Pro Bono Partner you offer free legal services to indigents and vulnerable groups on Law Gig. In return, TR Thrive gives you 50 points per completed case, helps boost your reviews and visibility, awards a Pro Bono Badge on your profile, and boosts your ranking and respect in the Thrive community. You can opt in or out at any time from your profile.
