Questions & answers

Practical details about the Law Gig Pro Bono Partner Programme on TR Thrive. If anything here conflicts with a later policy update, the in-product terms and notifications prevail.

Who can become a Pro Bono Partner?
Verified lawyers who use Law Gig on TR Thrive and are in good professional standing can opt in. You should only take matters you are qualified to handle. If you are not yet active on Law Gig, you can explore orders or create a gig to get started, then enable the preference from your profile.
Is participation mandatory, and can I turn it off?
No. Pro bono availability is voluntary. You can switch the Law Gig Pro Bono option off at any time in your profile. When it is off, you should not be allocated new pro bono matters; any in-flight obligations you already accepted remain governed by Law Gig rules and professional duties.
How do I enable Pro Bono on my account?
Sign in, open Dashboard → Profile, find the Law Gig – Pro Bono section, and set your availability to yes. Your profile can then show the Pro Bono Partner badge and you can express interest on eligible pro bono requests, subject to verification and platform rules.
Who can request pro bono help on Law Gig?
Posters should use pro bono pathways only where appropriate—for example indigent or vulnerable users as described in the Law Gig posting flow. TR Thrive may moderate misuse. Lawyers should use professional judgment before accepting any matter.
How does interest and allocation work?
You browse eligible pro bono matters on Law Gig and show interest when you can take the work. Allocation is handled in the order flow: when a poster allocates the matter to you, that is your commitment to deliver the service pro bono under the agreed scope. Notifications and partner-only rules (for example “pro bono partners only”) may apply on specific posts.
When do I receive the 50 bonus points?
Points are tied to successful completion of an allocated pro bono matter on Law Gig—for example after the poster confirms delivery or the platform records completion according to its rules. If a matter is cancelled or not completed, bonus points would not apply for that case.
What can I use Thrive points for?
Points earned on TR Thrive are designed to be redeemed inside the ecosystem—for example toward plan upgrades (including high-value employer packages where offered), premium tools, featured placement, or other perks the platform makes available from time to time. Where cash conversion is supported, it follows TR Thrive’s published redemption and payout rules, including any minimums, fees, or verification steps.
Will pro bono work affect my reviews and visibility?
Yes, in a positive way when delivery is strong. Completed matters can generate client feedback that strengthens your Law Gig profile. The Pro Bono Partner badge and history also signal credibility to the community. Always keep communications professional and document outcomes clearly.
What if I can no longer complete a matter I accepted?
Communicate early with the poster through Law Gig where possible. Beyond platform mechanics, your professional conduct rules still apply. Repeated withdrawals without good cause can affect trust scores, reviews, and eligibility for future allocations.
Who do I contact if something looks wrong?
Email info@trthrive.com or use in-app support where available. Include the order reference, a short timeline, and any screenshots (redacting confidential information) so the team can triage quickly.
