Terms governing use of TR Thrive: jobs, ThriveHire, Law Gig, law firm reviews, Pro Bono, store, subscriptions, ThriveAI, and community features in Nigeria.
Overview
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and TR Thrive governing use of trthrive.com and related services: job listings, events, scholarships, ThriveHire, Law Gig, law firm reviews, Pro Bono, the store, advertising, ThriveAI, LAWDLE, Legal Connections, and other features we offer for the Nigerian legal ecosystem.
By accessing the platform you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
TR Thrive is a technology platform. We do not provide legal advice, employ lawyers for clients, or guarantee outcomes of jobs, orders, or reviews.
Definitions
Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and have capacity to contract under Nigerian law. You are responsible for credential security and all activity on your account. Notify us immediately of unauthorised access at legal@trthrive.com.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose security risks, or misrepresent qualifications. Account types (free, Pro Career, employer, etc.) may limit feature access.
User conduct
You must comply with applicable law and professional ethics (including Nigerian Bar Association rules where relevant). You must not:
- Post false, fraudulent, harassing, or discriminatory content
- Impersonate others or scrape data without consent
- Attempt unauthorised access or disrupt platform operation
- Upload malware or spam users
- Breach client confidentiality or publish privileged material in reviews, AI chats, or public posts
Content rules
Jobs & events
Listings must be legitimate, non-discriminatory, and accurate (role, location, compensation where stated, deadlines). We may remove non-compliant posts.
Profiles & applications
Information must be truthful and kept current. Misleading credentials may result in removal.
Moderation
We may review, edit, or remove content and report illegal activity to authorities.
Law Gig & escrow
Law Gig connects clients (“order creators”) with legal professionals (“performers”). Creators must describe work clearly; performers must deliver competent work within scope and professional standards.
Payments for allocated orders are held in escrow until completion is confirmed or disputes are resolved per our processes. Platform fees are disclosed at order creation. Chargebacks or abuse may lead to suspension.
TR Thrive is not a party to the underlying legal engagement between client and lawyer except as payment intermediary and platform provider.
Pro Bono
The Pro Bono Partner programme is voluntary. Partners agree to handle eligible matters without client charge subject to programme rules, points/badge mechanics, and profile settings. Points and rewards are platform benefits, not wages, and may change with notice.
Partners must remain in good standing and qualified for the work they accept. Misrepresentation or failure to complete pro bono commitments may affect badges, rankings, and account status.

Law firm reviews
Reviews must follow our review guidelines: honest, experience-based, free of confidential or privileged detail. Reviews require an account; anonymous display does not waive platform accountability.
We moderate submissions and may reject, redact, or remove content. Verified firms may claim profiles and post official responses that also must comply with guidelines.
Reviews are opinions of users, not TR Thrive endorsements. Users remain responsible for their statements.
ThriveHire
Employers using ThriveHire must use applicant data only for lawful recruitment, comply with anti-discrimination law, and respect candidate privacy. ATS scores and AI-assisted tools are aids—not sole hiring decisions.
ThriveAI & games
ThriveAI output is informational only—not legal advice. You are responsible for verifying AI responses before acting. Do not submit confidential client data without authority.
LAWDLE and Legal Connections are community features subject to fair play rules; cheating, automation abuse, or harassment may result in restrictions.
Store
Store purchases are subject to this policy, product descriptions at checkout, and our Return Policy. Digital goods may be non-returnable after access.
Intellectual property
TR Thrive owns platform software, branding, and original content. You retain rights to content you post but grant us a licence to operate, display, and promote the platform. Report copyright concerns to legal@trthrive.com.
Subscriptions & payments
Fees are in Nigerian Naira unless stated otherwise. Price changes may apply with notice. Refunds for subscriptions may be available within 7 days if premium features were not substantially used—contact legal@trthrive.com. Event and job posting fees are generally non-refundable once delivered.
Payments use secure processors; we do not store full card numbers. Advertising campaigns are subject to advertising terms and admin approval after payment.
Liability
The platform is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of uninterrupted or error-free service. Our liability is limited to fees you paid us for the relevant service in the preceding period, except where law prohibits limitation.
You agree to indemnify TR Thrive against claims arising from your content, conduct, or breach of these Terms.
Disputes
Disputes are governed by Nigerian law. Parties should first contact legal@trthrive.com for informal resolution (30 days). Unresolved disputes may proceed to mediation or arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Claims must be brought within one year where permitted.
Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in advance where practicable. Continued use constitutes acceptance. You may close your account if you disagree before changes take effect.
