About the scholarship
The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS), offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, is a fully funded program enabling students from Commonwealth countries to pursue two-year master’s degrees at top universities in low- and middle-income Commonwealth nations, such as South Africa, Fiji, or Malaysia. Covering tuition, living expenses, return flights, and research grants, the scholarship supports a wide range of disciplines, from public health to engineering and social sciences. The program fosters cross-cultural exchange, strengthens the Commonwealth’s global academic network, and equips scholars with skills to address sustainable development challenges in their home countries.
Hosted by leading universities, QECS scholars benefit from high-quality education, research opportunities, and cultural immersion in diverse Commonwealth settings. The program emphasizes leadership development, with opportunities for networking, mentorship, and community engagement through university initiatives and Commonwealth events. Scholars are expected to return to their home countries post-study to apply their knowledge, contributing to national development in areas like education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. The QECS is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to gain international experience and make a lasting impact in their communities through advanced education.
