- Provide comprehensive legal advice and support to SFH management, departments, and the Board on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and operational matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, bids, leases, sub-awards, and litigation documents, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and adherence to legal standards.
- Manage company secretarial functions, including preparing board documents and memoranda, taking accurate minutes, and ensuring timely filings with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- Oversee and manage compliance interactions with various regulatory agencies, ensuring SFH's adherence to all relevant statutory and contractual obligations.
- Represent SFH's interests in court matters, managing litigation processes and advising on legal strategies for multiple clients/cases.
- Conduct thorough legal research using diverse resources to provide informed opinions and apply legal principles to complex issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure organizational compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements relevant to SFH entities and operations.
- Advise the Board and Management on corporate governance, structure, and restructuring initiatives, translating complex legal knowledge into actionable strategic advice.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Barrister-at-Law (B.L) degrees are mandatory.
- A minimum of two (2) years of post-call experience in a legal role with progressively increasing responsibilities.
- Proven track record of advising diverse clients, including corporate entities, government bodies, regulatory agencies, and individuals.
- Demonstrated experience in managing company secretarial functions, including minute-taking and filings with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- Experience in managing compliance interactions with various regulatory agencies.
- Practical experience in advising on and handling court matters for multiple clients.
- Exceptional ability to draft a wide range of legal documents (contracts, bids, leases, sub-awards, litigation documents) with precision, clarity, and appropriate legal terminology.
- Strong capability in systematically and efficiently managing the entire contract lifecycle, from creation to execution, to optimize business, financial, and operational performance.
- Proficient in preparing board documents and memoranda, taking accurate minutes, ensuring timely CAC filings, and providing expert advice on governance and statutory compliance needs.
- Advanced ability to conduct thorough legal research using online and other resources, identify relevant laws, and apply them effectively to both routine and complex legal issues.
- Competence in managing aspects of court-related matters and providing strategic input.
- Ability to work effectively with other departments to ensure SFH's adherence to all contractual and regulatory compliance obligations, particularly those relevant to SFH entities.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial and corporate law, including operations, structure, and restructuring, with the capacity to translate this knowledge into strategic advice for the Board and Management to foster effective synergy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex legal information clearly and persuasively to varied audiences.
