- Provide expert legal advice and support, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Manage corporate governance matters, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and provide efficient company secretarial support to the board and management.
- Develop, implement, and monitor robust compliance policies and procedures to ensure strict adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proactively identify potential legal and compliance risks, assess their impact on the business, and provide strategic advisory to mitigate exposure and ensure business continuity.
- Offer timely and practical legal and strategic guidance to various business units and senior management on day-to-day operations, strategic initiatives, and new projects.
Requirements
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and Barrister at Law (B.L.) certification, with active standing at the Nigerian Bar.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of relevant post-call legal experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a corporate, commercial, consulting, professional services, or similar dynamic business environment is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of corporate governance, commercial law, and regulatory compliance principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
