- Review, proofread, analyze, and cross-check contracts, agreements, letters, policies, reports, notices, and other legal or business documents.
- Identify errors, inconsistencies, omissions, unfavorable clauses, legal risks, and potential areas of exposure in company documents.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, agreements, letters, notices, memoranda, undertakings, affidavits, legal opinions, and other correspondence as required.
- Conduct legal research and provide relevant findings and recommendations to management.
- Assist in reviewing and preparing commercial contracts, service agreements, partnership agreements, employment-related documents, NDAs, and other corporate documents.
- Ensure company documents are properly structured, accurate, complete, and legally appropriate before execution.
- Assist with litigation and dispute-related matters, including case preparation, documentation, filings, correspondence, and follow-up.
- Maintain proper records of litigation matters, court processes, contracts, agreements, legal correspondence, and other important legal documentation.
- Liaise with external solicitors, counsel, courts, government agencies, regulatory bodies, clients, vendors, and other legal stakeholders when required.
- Assist in preparing documents required for court proceedings, legal claims, disputes, regulatory submissions, and other legal matters.
- Monitor ongoing litigation matters and maintain an updated litigation tracker, including case status, court dates, deadlines, and required actions.
- Support management in identifying, assessing, documenting, and escalating potential legal and commercial risks.
- Assist with legal and regulatory compliance activities relevant to the organization's operations.
- Review official communications and correspondence to ensure accuracy, professionalism, and appropriate legal positioning.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all legal, corporate, employee, client, financial, and commercially sensitive information.
- Provide practical support in civil and commercial litigation matters.
- Assist with preparation of court processes, affidavits, statements, briefs, legal submissions, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research relevant to ongoing and potential litigation matters.
- Assist in reviewing case files, evidence, correspondence, pleadings, and supporting documentation.
- Track court dates, filing deadlines, case developments, and other litigation-related obligations.
- Liaise with external counsel and relevant stakeholders regarding ongoing cases.
- Maintain accurate and confidential litigation files and case records.
- Prepare case summaries, status updates, and reports for management when required.
- Assist with dispute resolution, settlement discussions, and other pre-litigation or litigation-related processes.
- Ensure litigation-related documentation is properly organized, updated, and readily accessible.

- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution.
- Call to Bar / BL qualification is required.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of post-call legal experience.
- Demonstrable practical experience in litigation, preferably civil and/or commercial litigation.
- Strong experience in legal research, case preparation, legal drafting, and legal correspondence.
- Experience reviewing, proofreading, analyzing, and cross-checking legal and business documents.
- Ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, omissions, contractual risks, and potential legal issues in documents.
- Strong ability to draft clear, accurate, and professional legal and corporate documents.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian laws, legal procedures, court processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with contracts, agreements, corporate documents, and official correspondence.
- Experience liaising with external counsel, courts, government agencies, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and document-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, legal matters, and administrative responsibilities effectively.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high level of discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Candidates should preferably be residents of Abuja or willing to work in Abuja.
