Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal documents, contracts, and agreements
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents
  • Support in preparing legal opinions and reports
  • Attend court proceedings, client meetings, and regulatory visits where required
  • Maintain and organize legal files, records, and documentation
  • Assist with company secretarial duties, including filings with regulatory bodies (e.g., CAC)
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise the team accordingly
  • Provide administrative support to the legal department
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders when necessary

Requirements

Requirements

  • Must be a current NYSC Corps Member
  • Law degree (LL.B) from a recognized institution
  • Called to the Nigerian Bar (BL) is an added advantage
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills
  • Good understanding of Nigerian legal system and corporate law
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
