Job Description

The Legal Officer is responsible for providing legal guidance to management and departments on banking operations, contracts, and regulatory matters.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to interpret laws, regulations, and policies affecting bank activities.
  • Ensure business decisions comply with applicable financial and corporate laws.
  • Draft, review, and vet all documents and contracts to protect the bank.
  • Acts as the secretary, handling all correspondence and minutes in management and executive meetings.
  • Handle legal disputes involving customers, staff, or third parties.
  • Maintain records of legal documents, cases and contracts.
