Legal Officer

Job Descriptions

• Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements with suppliers, vendors, contractors and service providers.
• Prepare standard agreements, letters, undertakings, memoranda, and other routine legal documents as required by the company.
• Review contractual terms and conditions to ensure that the company's interests are adequately protected and potential risks are identified.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of contracts, agreements, legal documents, and relevant statutory records.
• Monitor contract expiry dates, renewal timelines, obligations, and key deliverables to ensure timely action by relevant departments.
• Liaise with procurement, finance, operations, project, and administrative teams on contract-related matters.
• Assist in the review and documentation of supplier and contractor relationships, including ensuring that relevant agreements are properly executed and filed.
• Support the company in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
• Conduct basic legal research and provide administrative support on routine legal and regulatory matters affecting the company.
• Liaise with the company's external legal counsel on complex legal matters, disputes, litigation, and other specialized legal issues when required.
• Assist in gathering relevant documents and information required by external solicitors for legal proceedings, contract reviews, or advisory matters.
• Identify and escalate potential legal, contractual, and compliance risks to management and/or external legal counsel.
• Provide general legal support to management and other departments on routine business and contractual matters.
