Legal Counsel (Fluent French)

S&P Global is seeking a Legal Counsel (Fluent French) to support commercial and legal strategies across business functions in Nigeria and wider EMEA markets. The role combines legal advisory, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation work with cross-functional collaboration in a global setting. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal negotiation and advisory support on commercial agreements and contracts related to products and services. 

• Draft, negotiate, and assess complex contracts, including distribution, partner, service, and technology agreements. 

• Ensure protection of the company’s intellectual property and business practices while mitigating legal risk. 

• Identify, implement, and train internal stakeholders on legal policies, including competition law and regulatory compliance. 

• Provide pragmatic counsel to internal business clients that aligns legal considerations with commercial objectives.
