Legal Associate

We are seeking a highly competent and self-driven lawyer with a minimum of five years post-call experience to join our legal team. The ideal candidate must have strong, hands-on litigation experience, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and excellent legal drafting and typing skills. This role demands sound judgement, professionalism, and the capacity to manage matters from inception to conclusion.

Responsibilities:

• Handle active litigation matters, including civil and commercial disputes, from pre-trial to post-judgement stages.
• Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, written addresses, and other court processes with precision and clarity.
• Represent clients in court, tribunals, and other dispute resolution forums.
• Conduct legal research and provide well-reasoned legal opinions and advice.
• Manage assigned cases independently, including strategy development, case preparation, and client engagement.
• Ensure compliance with procedural rules, court timelines, and professional standards.
• Liaise with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and relevant stakeholders professionally.
• Maintain proper case files, documentation, and records.
