Job Description

ECLAT HR Consulting is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Associate to join a dynamic legal team in Abuja. This full-time role offers a fantastic opportunity for a budding legal professional to gain hands-on experience across various aspects of corporate law and compliance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the legal department's operations, ensuring legal compliance, and contributing to the organization's overall success.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents impacting the organization's operations.

Draft, review, and proofread a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, memoranda, and official correspondence.

Assist in the meticulous review of contracts to ensure adherence to legal standards and internal company policies.

Support the legal department in effectively managing regulatory and compliance requirements.

Prepare clear and concise legal summaries, reports, and briefing notes for internal stakeholders.

Maintain and meticulously organize legal files, records, and documentation, ensuring easy accessibility and confidentiality.

Assist in the preparation of necessary documents for litigation, dispute resolution, or regulatory submissions as required.

Liaise with internal departments to provide basic legal support and guidance, under appropriate supervision.

Monitor and report on updates in relevant laws and regulations that may impact the organization's activities.

Provide essential administrative support to the legal team, contributing to efficient departmental operations.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized institution.

Call to the Bar is preferred, depending on jurisdiction.

0-2 years of relevant legal experience; internship or National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) experience will be considered.

Required Skills & Knowledge

Basic understanding of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance principles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong legal research and analytical thinking abilities.

Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Demonstrated professional integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven problem-solving capabilities.

Effective time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Adaptability and a strong willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Sound professional judgment and a sense of responsibility.
