This pivotal role is essential for ensuring that all business operations rigorously adhere to relevant regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal policies, thereby safeguarding the company's integrity and fostering sustainable growth.

As a Legal & Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining legal and regulatory soundness, contributing directly to the company's operational excellence and robust risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and ensure the regulatory compliance of contracts, legal documentation, and internal policies.

Provide expert legal analysis and advisory support on a broad range of operational and transactional matters.

Proactively monitor, interpret, and disseminate information on new laws, regulations, and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) policies impacting the organization.

Support initiatives related to debt recovery and the effective management of non-performing loans.

Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements, including those mandated by the CBN, NDIC, EFCC, and various Credit Bureaus.

Contribute to the development and implementation of comprehensive compliance awareness programs and staff training initiatives.

Prepare detailed and insightful compliance reports for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
