Lead, Legal & Contract Management

The Lead, Legal & Contract Management role at VURIN Group is a senior legal leadership position responsible for providing strategic legal counsel, leading contract drafting and negotiation, managing legal risks, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and supporting company governance. You will work closely with executive leadership and internal stakeholders in a dynamic, project-driven energy and infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as principal legal advisor to the CEO and executive leadership on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. 
• Provide strategic legal guidance to business units to support informed decision-making and effective risk management. 
• Lead drafting, review, negotiation, and administration of all commercial and legal contracts across the company. 
• Identify and proactively manage legal and contractual risks to protect the company’s interests. 
• Establish and oversee contract management processes, templates, and approval workflows. 
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations under laws such as CAMA and sector-specific regulations. 
• Oversee company secretarial functions including Board and management meetings, resolutions, and governance documentation. 
• Manage engagement with external legal counsel, consultants, and regulatory authorities. 
• Support audits, licensing, permits, and regulatory filings with accurate documentation and timely submissions. 
• Provide legal support for trading, supply, project, and partnership activities as business needs evolve.
