Job Description

A growing law firm in Yaba is looking to hire a capable and driven lawyer to join the team in a hybrid capacity.

The role is primarily onsite, with flexible remote working days.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will handle a broad range of legal work, including research, drafting and reviewing documents, preparing legal opinions, handling filings and court-related work, and supporting client engagements. The role will also involve managing complex client matters, delivering internal presentations where required, monitoring progress on assigned tasks, maintaining administrative efficiency, and supporting the firm’s business development and professional visibility initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in preparing legal opinions, reviews, and handling disputes
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills
  • Ability to work within strict timelines with minimal supervision
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail
  • A functional laptop
  • A proper smartphone
  • Residing within or close to Yaba, or being able to easily access Yaba, is an advantage
