Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and commercially minded lawyer to join our Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment practice group.

The successful candidate will advise clients across Nigeria's growing creative industries, including film, music, digital media, and advertising on a wide range of IP and commercial matters. This is a high-impact role with exposure to complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions and an opportunity to work alongside some of Nigeria's leading legal minds.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum Post-Call experience should be between 2019 – 2021
  • Prior experience in a top-tier law firm or specialized IP practice is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrable experience advising clients in the music, film, media, or creative industries
  • Solid understanding of Nigerian IP legislation (Copyright Act 2022, Trademarks Act, Patents and Designs Act) and relevant case law
  • Familiarity with international IP frameworks (WIPO, TRIPS, ARIPO) is an advantage
  • Experience with content licensing, music publishing, distribution agreements, or talent representation is a plus
