Job Summary

  • LinkOrgNet, a leading Internet Service Provider (ISP), is looking for a Company Lawyer to join our innovative team.
  • The Company Lawyer at Linkorg Network Limited is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and guidance, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations while protecting the company’s interests. This role involves advising on various legal matters, including contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, intellectual property, and dispute resolution.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Reviewing contracts on behalf of the company.
  • Drafting up terms and conditions of company product.
  • Watching leads for company in court of law in any court case.
  • Representing company at the court of law.
  • Ensure the company complies with its statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action.
  • Develop and oversee the systems that ensure the company complies with all applicable codes, in addition to its legal and statutory requirements.
  • Provide expert legal advice to senior management on various legal matters, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, labour law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure the company’s operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution; a Master’s degree (LL.M) is an advantage.

  • Must be a qualified lawyer admitted to practice law in Nigeria (e.g., called to bar).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate legal environment; experience in telecommunications is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian telecommunications laws and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex legislation and contracts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools and software applications.
