Position Overview

A leadership-level role within the Dispute Resolution practice. The Senior Associate will work closely with clients, junior associates, and partners to drive high-quality outcomes, provide quality control oversight, and strengthen the firm’s dispute resolution capabilities. Candidates willing to relocate from other South-Western states are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Strategy

Advise on commercial & civil disputes: shareholders’ rights, corporate recovery, contractual disagreements, debt recovery & regulatory issues

Assess case strengths; recommend cost-effective & strategic resolution options

Drafting & Documentation

Draft, review & negotiate settlement agreements, pleadings, contracts & dispute-related documentation

Ensure high standards of quality and accuracy across all written work

Leadership & Quality Control

Provide oversight and quality control on dispute resolution matters handled by Associates

Court & Tribunal Representation

Represent clients in courts, tribunals & arbitral forums in high-value commercial & civil disputes

Appear across all levels from High Courts to the Supreme Court

ADR & Settlement

Lead mediation, negotiation & settlement discussions

Strategically minimise client exposure through commercially sensible settlements

Represent clients in mediation & other ADR proceedings

Client Relationship Management

Build & maintain long-term client relationships through proactive engagement & excellent service delivery

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum of 10 years at the Bar

Demonstrated leadership capability

Responsibility for quality control in dispute resolution practice

Experience in commercial & civil litigation across all court levels

Strong drafting, negotiation & client management skills

Membership of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb UK)
