Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement media and communication strategy.
  • Prepare regular media releases.
  • Liaise with journalists and other media practitioners to improve visibility of issues of human rights, governance and rule of law issues in Nigeria. 
  • Manage communication with LEDAP members and partners.
  • Edit LEDAP’s newsletter and other publications
  • Daily document and build data base of extra judicial killings from media sources towards publication of the LEDAP’s ‘Impunity Report’
  • Any other related duties, or other duty assigned by the Executive Programme Director or National Coordinator.

Requirements

Qualification requirements:

  • A degree or HND in mass communication or humanities or sciences. No work experience required
  • Excellent IT skills with ability to create content for website and social media posts. 
  • Excellent media and report writing skill.
  • Experience with the media or reporting journalism will be an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
