Legal Officer

Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized university, with a minimum of a Second-Class Honours (Lower Division) grade.
• Called to the Nigerian Bar (Barrister at Law - B.L.).
• Minimum of two (2) years of post-call legal experience, preferably within the legal department of a reputable and structured business environment. Exposure to the energy or oil & gas sector is a strong asset.
• Membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) or an equivalent professional body is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated understanding of the operational and regulatory landscape of the Nigerian oil and gas downstream sector.
• Solid knowledge of local, national, and relevant international laws and regulations pertinent to corporate and energy law.
• Proficient in corporate secretarial duties and best practices.
• Strong grasp of corporate governance principles and experience in supporting board-level operations.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, drafting, and interpersonal communication skills.
