Legal Officer

The Legal Officer will support the Legal & Compliance Department in a fast‐growing

fintech company. The role involves providing legal advisory, drafting and reviewing

contracts, supporting regulatory compliance obligations, managing corporate

governance activities, and assisting with cross‐functional legal issues. The Legal

Associate will work closely with senior legal and compliance leadership to ensure all

business operations adhere to applicable laws and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, NDAs, service-level agreements,

and fintech-related legal documents.

- Conduct legal research on regulatory issues affecting fintech, lending, data

protection, asset management, and financial services.

- Support the development and implementation of legal policies, frameworks, and

compliance procedures.

- Assist with corporate governance activities including board documentation,

minutes, resolutions, and statutory filings.

- Monitor regulatory changes and advise the business on implications for operations

and product offerings.

- Support KYC/AML reviews, contract renewals, and regulatory filings in collaboration

with compliance.

- Engage with external legal counsel and regulators where required.

- Maintain accurate legal records and ensure proper document organisation and

retrieval.

- Assist in dispute resolution, litigation management, and claims handling.

- Support cross-functional teams such as Product, Finance, Operations, Compliance,

and Risk with legal guidance.
