Legal Officer

PZ Cussons is seeking a Legal Officer to support its legal, governance, and compliance functions across its African operations. The successful candidate will work closely with legal, commercial, and business teams to manage legal and regulatory risks, support commercial transactions, strengthen corporate governance, and ensure compliance with statutory obligations.

This role is ideal for early-career legal professionals looking to build broad in-house legal experience within a multinational FMCG company.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and support the execution of commercial contracts and legal documentation.
• Support Board, Committee, and statutory governance processes to ensure compliance with legal obligations.
• Monitor compliance activities and assist with policy implementation across African markets.
• Maintain legal records, statutory registers, contracts, and other compliance documentation.
• Conduct legal research and provide insights to support business decisions and policy development.
• Collaborate with commercial, finance, HR, supply chain, and leadership teams to provide practical legal support.
