Job Description

Job Summary

  • The Legal Officer supports the organization by handling day-to-day legal matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and assisting with contract management and corporate documentation.
  • This role ensures that the company’s operations are legally sound and helps minimize risk through practical, timely legal support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and assist in negotiating contracts, MOUs, service agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Support management and departments with legal queries and practical guidance.
  • Liaise with external counsel on litigation or specialized legal matters, preparing documentation and tracking case progress.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare opinions, briefs, or internal memos when needed.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for contracts, legal documents, and correspondence.
  • Assist HR with employment law matters, policy updates, and disciplinary processes.
  • Review internal processes to flag potential legal risks.
  • Support negotiations with vendors, partners, or regulatory agencies as required.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB); BL required.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-call experience in corporate, commercial, or regulatory law.
  • Practical experience in contract drafting and legal documentation.
  • Good understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion.
  • Clear communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external parties.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
