The Opportunity: Legal NYSC Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Legal NYSC Intern to join our dedicated legal team in Lagos. This full-time, entry-level position offers a unique and invaluable opportunity for a serving Corps Member to gain practical, hands-on experience within a fast-paced corporate legal environment in the financial services industry. You will play a crucial supporting role, contributing to various legal and compliance activities while developing essential professional skills under the guidance of experienced legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters relevant to the financial services sector.
• Assist in the drafting, review, and proofreading of various legal documents, contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
• Support the legal team in ensuring the company's adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Maintain and organize legal files, documents, and databases with meticulous attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Provide administrative support to the legal department, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing correspondence.
• Participate in legal team meetings and observe legal proceedings where appropriate, gaining exposure to real-world legal challenges and strategic discussions.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments to gather necessary information and facilitate legal processes.
