Legal Manager – Company Secretarial & Commercial

PZ Cussons is seeking an experienced Legal Manager – Company Secretarial & Commercial to provide legal, governance, and commercial advisory support across its African operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Board activities, advising on strategic business transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping the business make sound commercial decisions while effectively managing legal risk.

This role is ideal for legal professionals with strong experience in corporate commercial law, company secretarial practice, and corporate governance who are looking to make a strategic impact within a multinational FMCG company.

Key Responsibilities

• Support effective Board and Committee operations to strengthen corporate governance.
• Provide practical legal advice that enables commercial teams to pursue business opportunities while managing legal risks.
• Support major business initiatives, including financing arrangements, restructurings, and strategic commercial projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, advisers, shareholders, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and recommend practical actions to ensure compliance.
• Coach and develop members of the legal team while driving continuous improvement across the legal function.
