Investigation and Fraud Analyst

To detect, investigate, and mitigate fraudulent activities across the organisation by analysing transactional data, conducting in-depth investigations, and supporting enforcement actions—while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, identify, and investigate suspicious transactions, anomalies, and potential fraud across digital platforms, payment systems, and internal operations.
• Conduct end-to-end fraud investigations—from initial alert to case closure—including evidence collection, stakeholder interviews, and root cause analysis.
• Analyse structured and unstructured data using forensic tools, Excel, SQL, or analytics platforms to uncover patterns, trends, and emerging fraud typologies.
• Prepare clear, concise investigation reports with actionable recommendations for management, legal, and law enforcement (where applicable).
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, HR, Customer Support, and Legal teams to implement preventive controls and improve fraud detection mechanisms.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of fraud trends (e.g., identity theft, payment fraud, insider threats, social engineering) relevant to our sector.
• Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and internal reviews related to fraud risk and financial crime.
• Contribute to the development and testing of fraud rules, alerts, and machine learning models in partnership with data or security teams.
