- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents, including leases, sales agreements, vendor contracts, and other property-related instruments.
- Conducting thorough legal research and providing accurate legal opinions on matters pertaining to property law, corporate governance, and general commercial law.
- Assisting with due diligence processes for new acquisitions and property developments.
- Ensuring the company's operations comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Managing and organizing legal documentation, contracts, and corporate records efficiently.
- Providing legal support and advice to internal departments on day-to-day operational matters.
- Representing the company in minor legal proceedings or assisting external counsel in more complex litigation matters.
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 2 years post-call experience, preferably within a law firm or in-house legal department with exposure to real estate law.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian property law and regulations.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to draft clear, concise, and legally sound documents.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
