About the scholarship
The Midwestern Merit Scholarship 2026 (part of the Midwestern JV University Scholarship Award Scheme) is a merit-based scholarship sponsored by Midwestern Oil and Gas Company Limited. The programme supports academically outstanding Delta State indigenes studying in Nigerian universities and aims to promote academic excellence and skill-based education while reducing financial burden on students.
Eligibility
- Must be a Delta State indigene (including host communities)
- Must be in 100 or 200 level in an accredited Nigerian university
- Minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale
- Minimum of five SSCE credits including English and Mathematics (one sitting)
- Must possess valid JAMB/UTME result and admission letter
- Must have current university ID card
- Must provide Local Government identification letter indicating senatorial zone
- Must have valid email and phone number
