About the scholarship
The GREAT Scholarships 2025-2026, a collaboration between the British Council and UK universities, offer partial funding for international students from 15 countries to pursue one-year postgraduate taught programs in the UK. Covering fields such as science, technology, engineering, humanities, law, and business, each scholarship provides a minimum of £10,000 toward tuition fees, with some institutions offering additional support for living costs or travel. Scholars study at over 70 participating UK universities, accessing world-class education, cutting-edge research facilities, and vibrant campus communities across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
The program promotes cultural exchange and strengthens educational ties between the UK and participating countries, fostering future leaders in diverse fields. Scholars benefit from British Council networking events, cultural immersion activities, and career development workshops, enhancing their global perspectives and employability. With a focus on accessibility and diversity, the GREAT Scholarships empower talented students to advance their careers and contribute to development in their home countries, offering a unique opportunity to experience the UK’s academic excellence and multicultural society.
