About the scholarship

The Bocconi Graduate Merit Awards are prestigious merit-based scholarships offered by Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, to exceptional graduate (Master’s) applicants with outstanding academic records. These awards aim to recognize and reward academic excellence among top candidates applying for Bocconi’s MSc programmes. Candidates are automatically considered for the award when they submit their graduate admissions application — no separate scholarship form is required — and recipients are notified along with their admission decision.

Recipients of the Merit Award receive a full tuition and fees waiver, significantly reducing the cost of studying at one of Europe’s leading business and social sciences universities. The award can be renewed for the duration of the regular programme provided the student meets the institution’s academic progress requirements. This makes it a highly competitive and valued form of financial support for high-achieving students from all countries.

Eligibility

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be applying for admission to a Bocconi University graduate (MSc) programme.
Academic profile must be among the top applicants, evaluated on your graduate admissions dossier.
No separate scholarship application is required — merit consideration is automatic with the graduate application.
Award selection is made by a committee appointed by the University including the Dean of the Graduate School and the Dean for International Affairs.
The Merit Award is tied to the specific admission round and programme — changing either may void eligibility unless a new award is granted.
Renewal for subsequent years requires meeting Bocconi’s academic progress requirements (e.g., credits/grades).
