The Nigerian Bar Association Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NBA-ICLE) has announced the commencement of its nationwide Training Needs Assessment Survey, calling on legal practitioners across all branches to help determine the focus of professional development programs over the next 12 months.

The initiative is designed to align NBA-ICLE training offerings directly with the evolving realities of Nigerian legal practice. By gathering direct feedback from lawyers, the Institute aims to deliver practical, relevant, and career-advancing modules tailored to market demands.

The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete and focuses on three core areas:

  • Training Priorities: Identifying substantive legal areas and technical skills that practitioners need to scale their practice.
  • Preferred Learning Formats: Assessing preferences among in-person sessions, live virtual webinars, self-paced courses, or on-demand recordings.
  • Structural Bottlenecks: Pinpointing specific barriers to participation, such as program cost, scheduling conflicts, and travel constraints.

Comprising 12 focused questions, the survey is open to all members of the Nigerian Bar Association. The deadline for submission is Friday, 6 November 2026. The link to the survey is here. For inquiries or further information, members may contact the Institute via email at icle@nigerianbar.org.ng.
