The NYSC Associate (Legal) role at Fealty Partners LP offers newly-graduated law professionals a structured opportunity to work within a full-service Nigerian law firm that operates at the intersection of law and business. You’ll gain hands-on experience in commercial law practice, conduct legal research, and work alongside experienced legal professionals in areas such as corporate advisory, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and commercial transactions. The programme also includes structured mentorship and growth opportunities in a reputable legal environment.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research: Analyze case law, statutes, and regulations using platforms like LawPavilion to support case preparation.
  • Draft documents: Prepare contracts, legal opinions, and compliance documents for corporate and individual clients.
  • Assist in litigation: Compile case files, briefs, and evidence summaries to meet court deadlines.
  • Monitor legal trends: Track updates in Nigerian laws, including data protection and labor regulations, via online sources.
  • Support digital processes: Manage e-filing and virtual client consultations to enhance firm efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team: Work with senior lawyers on client matters, ensuring timely delivery of services.

Major Qualifications

Bachelor of Law (LL.B) with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (2:1)

Enrolled in or eligible for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.

Sound knowledge of Nigerian legal frameworks, including contract, corporate, or litigation law.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., LawPavilion) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting and client interaction.

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong commitment to confidentiality, especially regarding sensitive client data.

Familiarity with legal technology or HR platforms is an advantage.
