Job Description

The Director of Legal will lead the Group’s legal strategy and provide senior-level advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, investments and major business transactions.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Group’s legal strategy and advise the Board and Executive Leadership.
Handle legal due diligence for M&A, investments, joint ventures and strategic transactions.
Strengthen corporate governance frameworks.
Oversee commercial contracts, litigation, dispute resolution and external counsel.
Lead legal risk and compliance initiatives across the organisation.
Provide oversight on regulatory, employment, data privacy and intellectual property matters.
Build and lead a high-performing legal team.

Requirements

Requirements:

LL.B and B.L. with admission to practise law.
Minimum 20 years’ progressive legal experience.
At least 8 years in a senior legal leadership position such as Head of Legal, General Counsel or Legal Director.
Strong experience in corporate governance, M&A, investments, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance and legal risk management.
Cross-border legal/regulatory experience is desirable.
Experience in a holding company, investment firm, private equity environment, multinational, diversified business group or top-tier law firm is preferred.
