Job Description

1159Realty, a progressive real estate company based in Ilorin dedicated to broadening access to property investment and opportunities, is seeking a Corporate Lawyer to support its legal operations. This full-time, on-site role focuses on commercial legal counsel, ensuring compliance, managing legal risk, and providing legal support across the company’s business activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide legal advice and counsel on corporate matters and regulatory compliance. 
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents. 
• Manage legal risks, interpret legal requirements, and support risk mitigation strategies. 
• Liaise with regulators, authorities, and external legal counsel as needed. 
• Oversee company policies and help implement corporate governance practices. 
• Support legal aspects of real estate transactions and business operations, including resolving disputes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B). 
• Valid license to practice law in Nigeria. 
• Knowledge of corporate law, regulatory compliance, and contract law. 
• Skills in legal drafting, contract negotiation, and risk assessment. 
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills. 
• Experience in real estate law or corporate legal practice is an advantage
