  • Provide strategic legal and corporate governance advice to the Board and Executive Management.
  • Serve as Secretary to the Board and its Committees, coordinating Board meetings, agendas, papers, minutes, resolutions, and statutory records.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Airport's Corporate Governance Framework and governance policies.
  • Provide legal oversight for commercial contracts, concession agreements, strategic partnerships, procurement, and corporate transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, concession obligations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Manage legal risk, litigation, dispute resolution, ethics, compliance, and information governance programmes.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Legal & Board Affairs team while promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability across the organisation.

Requirements

Requirments

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognised university and admission to the Nigerian Bar.
  • A Master's Degree (LL.M, MBA, MPA, or equivalent postgraduate qualification) is highly desirable.
  • Membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (CGI/ICSA) or equivalent professional body will be a distinct advantage.
  • Minimum of 15 years' progressive post-call experience, including at least 7 years in a senior legal, governance, company secretarial, or Board advisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate governance, Board administration, commercial law, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, legal risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles, Nigerian company law, aviation regulatory frameworks, and public-private partnership (PPP) arrangements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, and strategic decision-making skills.
  • Experience in aviation, airports, infrastructure, financial services, energy, telecommunications, or other highly regulated industries will be an added advantage.
