- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, transaction documents, board/shareholder documentation and corporate correspondence.
- Support corporate structuring, regulatory advisory, due diligence, company secretarial and transaction execution work.
- Conduct focused legal research and convert findings into practical advice for clients and supervising lawyers.
- Manage assigned workstreams and deadlines; identify and flag issues early.
- Work effectively through the firm's review and quality-control process and support junior associates where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate matter records, filing discipline and clear written updates.
- Develop confidence in client communication and support relationship-management/business-development activity where appropriate.
Requirements
Requirements
- 3/6 years' post-qualification or equivalent relevant legal experience.
- Strong grounding in Nigerian corporate and commercial law and familiarity with regulated transactions.
- Excellent legal drafting, research and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage several matters and deadlines with limited day-to-day prompting.
- Good judgment, attention to detail, professional discipline and willingness to receive and implement feedback.
- Commercial awareness and ability to understand the client's objective, not only the legal issue.
