Job Description

Moroom Africa is hiring a Senior Associate to join its Corporate, M&A, Finance, and Commercial Advisory practice.

The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded lawyer with strong deal execution skills, capable of handling complex transactions and providing strategic legal advice to clients across diverse sectors.

Requirements

LL.B and Call to the Nigerian Bar

Minimum of 4–6 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate or commercial practice

Prior law firm experience preferred

Experience in M&A, private equity, finance, infrastructure, or real estate is a strong advantage

Demonstrable client-handling or deal execution experience

Strong commercial awareness and transaction management skills

Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities

If you have prepared well, you can adapt your existing ideas to fit new questions.Remember that first impressions matter. When they say, “Tell us about yourself,” or any other opening question, that is your chance to set the tone. Prepare a solid answer that reflects your journey and shows that you are undoubtedly suitable for the role. Make it comprehensive yet natural.If a question catches you off guard, stay calm and composed. You do not have to know everything. Take a brief moment to think, say what you can, and move on confidently. Do not let one tough question throw you off balance.
