About the scholarship

The University of London Commonwealth Scholarship is a fully funded master’s opportunity by distance learning for international students from developing countries.

The University of London Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship 2026 covers the full fees and will contribute to the provision of specialist training for applicants from Low —and Middle-Income Commonwealth States.

The Institute of Commonwealth Studies, School of Advanced Study at the University of London, is pleased to be partnering with the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission to offer 5 full scholarships for the September 2026 intake to our MA in Human Rights by distance learning.

The MA in Human Rights is a practice-based online Master’s that builds the vocational skills students need to succeed as a human rights practitioner.

Cutting-edge course content examines human rights issues from a practical perspective as well as theoretical and legal ones, so you’ll learn the essential skills needed to work in the field.

Eligibility

• Have already been offered a place on the MA Programme:
• Have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant program.
• Apply for the MA programme at the University of London no later than March 13 2026.
• Apply for the Commonwealth Scholarship no later than March 30, 2026.
• Be applicants from Low and Middle-Income Commonwealth States.
• Be unable to study in the UK for financial and other reasons.
