The McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill University is Canada’s first comprehensive, leadership-driven scholarship program for master’s and professional degree students, offered by the McCall MacBain Foundation. Eligibility

Eligibility for the McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill University includes the following requirements:

• Program Admission: Applicants must apply for a full-time master’s or professional degree program (e.g., MA, MSc, LLM, MBA) at McGill University for the 2025/2026 academic year.
• Academic Excellence: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record, typically a minimum GPA of 3.7/4.0 or equivalent (e.g., first-class honors).
• Leadership and Engagement: Applicants should demonstrate exceptional leadership potential, resilience, and community engagement, evidenced through professional experience, extracurricular activities, or volunteer work.
• Eligibility for All: Both Canadian and international students are eligible, with no nationality restrictions.
• English Proficiency: Applicants must meet McGill’s English language requirements, such as IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 86 (no sub-score below 20), unless exempted.
• Application Materials: Candidates must submit essays (e.g., a personal statement and leadership narrative), a CV, academic transcripts, and two recommendation letters through McGill’s scholarship portal.

Applications are due by August 20, 2025, with a two-stage process involving regional interviews and final interviews in Montreal. Selection is highly competitive, assessing academic merit, leadership qualities, and a commitment to improving lives. Approximately 30 scholars are selected annually from thousands of applicants.
