Western Australian Premier University Scholarship

The Western Australian Premier’s University Scholarship is a merit-based program that awards AUD $50,000 in tuition fee support to 10 high-performing international students enrolling in full-time degree programs at one of Western Australia’s 5 leading universities.

Applicants for the Western Australian Premier’s University Scholarship must meet the following criteria:

• Citizenship: Be a citizen of an eligible country (e.g., India, Indonesia, China, Brazil, Vietnam, UK, Kenya, UAE, etc.) and not a resident of Australia.
• Academic Excellence: Hold academic qualifications equivalent to a minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0 or upper second-class honors for undergraduate or postgraduate programs.
• Admission Status: Hold a full offer of admission to a full-time degree program (undergraduate, postgraduate, or Ph.D.) at one of Western Australia’s five leading universities, starting Semester 1, 2026.
• Visa Eligibility: Be eligible for an Australian Subclass 500 Student Visa, meeting all health and character requirements.
• Exclusivity: Not be a recipient of another government or institutional scholarship covering tuition fees.
• Application Process: Submit a scholarship application through the university’s portal, including academic transcripts, a CV, a 500-word personal statement, and two academic or professional references.
• English Proficiency: Provide proof of English proficiency (IELTS 6.5, no band below 6.0, or TOEFL iBT 79, with minimums of 21 writing, 18 speaking, 13 reading, 12 listening) unless prior education was in English.

Priority is given to candidates with strong academic records and a demonstrated commitment to contributing to their home country’s development.
