About the scholarship
The Scholarship was established by the Miles Morland Foundation to give African writers the financial freedom to focus on creating their books. The program awards a select number of scholarships annually to writers born in Africa, or whose parents are both born in Africa, providing them with time and resources to complete the first draft of a book. The aim is to support Africans and African Literature.
