Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore; Vice Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Rotimi Amaechi; and presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, found themselves at odds before a crowd of lawyers, judges, and dignitaries who had gathered for the conference's ideas and professional exchange sessions.

The clash centred on fuel subsidy removal, a policy that has remained one of Nigeria's most contentious economic decisions since it was implemented.
