- Draft, review, vet and negotiate high-value product supply and service contracts, BIMCO agreements, charter parties, and Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
- Ensure total compliance with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act and NCDMB directives.
- Manage maritime claims, dispute resolutions, arbitrations, and litigation processes.
- Oversee anti-bribery, anti-corruption (FCPA, UK Bribery Act), and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance programs.
- Provide legal and compliance counsel in high-value strategic meetings and contribute legal and regulatory insights to corporate strategy.
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL).
- 8–10 years of post-call experience, with at least 5 years in a senior legal role within the oil and gas, maritime, or subsea services sector.
- A Master’s Degree (LLM) in Maritime, Energy, or Oil & Gas Law is highly preferred.
- Understanding of offshore IRM operations, BIMCO contracting forms, Nigerian local content laws, and joint venture structures.
