- Provide legal advice on business, regulatory, contractual, and operational matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, technology, vendor, and service agreements.
- Support regulatory engagements, licensing processes, and submissions with relevant regulators.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting fintech and financial services operations.
- Provide legal support for digital payment products, technology platforms, data protection, and new business initiatives.
- Identify legal risks and recommend practical risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage pre-litigation matters and coordinate with external counsel on disputes and regulatory investigations.
- Support the development and implementation of legal, compliance, and governance policies.
- Conduct legal research and provide commercially focused legal guidance to stakeholders.
Requirements
Requirements
- LL.B Degree from a recognised institution.
- Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (B.L).
- Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
- 2–4 years post-call experience in a fintech company, financial institution, technology company, or reputable commercial law firm.
- Demonstrable experience liaising with regulatory authorities, law enforcement agencies, and compliance or investigative bodies.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory skills.
- Sound knowledge of fintech, digital payments, financial services regulations, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
