- Ensuring comprehensive compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, including the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) and Nigerian real estate laws.
- Managing corporate governance processes, including preparing for and documenting board meetings, maintaining statutory registers, and filing required returns.
- Providing expert legal advice and guidance on a broad range of matters affecting the firm's operations, contracts, and real estate transactions.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents, agreements, and policies to protect the firm's interests.
- Supporting strategic initiatives and business development from a legal and compliance perspective.
- Identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with the firm's activities.
- Liaising with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies as required.
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification work experience in a relevant legal, company secretarial, or direct support role.
- Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of Nigerian real estate law and the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal information clearly, concisely, and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize a heavy workload, manage multiple tasks concurrently, and meet deadlines effectively with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to plan strategically, work proactively, and operate independently while contributing to broader organizational goals.
- Proficient in the effective use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Possesses a high level of consistency, reliability, attention to detail, and unwavering professional integrity.
- Knowledge of the Nigerian real estate market and industry trends would be a significant advantage.
