- Coordinate the accurate and timely preparation, filing, and payment follow-up for all applicable taxes, including but not limited to VAT, WHT, ITF, NSITF, PAYE (for both local and expatriate staff), CIT, Pensions, and other statutory responsibilities.
- Ensure the company's continuous adherence to all relevant Tax & Legal requirements and regulatory frameworks.
- Manage and facilitate tax audits, acting as a primary point of contact and ensuring smooth processes and favorable outcomes.
- Liaise effectively with various tax authorities, regulatory bodies, and government agencies.
- Perform meticulous postings, review, and matching of accounts within the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Serve as a key liaison with the company’s external solicitors on all legal matters, coordinating advice and actions to safeguard company interests.
- Oversee and manage the company's insurance portfolio, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with all policy requirements.
- Manage the relationship and communication with the Company Secretary, facilitating corporate governance processes.
- Provide comprehensive support on ad-hoc projects and other topics related to Tax & Legal matters as required by the business.

- Bachelor's degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tax and legal compliance, preferably within the oil & gas sector or a large multinational corporation.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Nigerian tax laws and regulations (e.g., VAT, WHT, ITF, NSITF, PAYE, CIT) and corporate legal frameworks.
- Proven experience in managing tax audits and effectively liaising with regulatory authorities.
- Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for financial and accounting operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and demanding environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively liaising with internal stakeholders and external legal/tax advisors.
- Professional certification (e.g., Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria - CITN, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria - ICAN, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants - ACCA, Nigerian Bar Association - NBA) will be a significant advantage.
